IKRPG starting character: Skilled Dwarf (Rhulic) Rifleman Soldier

Today we continue our series of starting characters for the new Iron Kingdom Roleplaying Game.  Our second installment will feature a Skilled Dwarf with the Rifleman and Soldier professions.

The following character assumes access to the Iron Kingdoms Roleplaying Game (IKRPG). The Life Spire is not included.  The rules to calculate the Life Spire are on page 150 of the Core Book. Derivate stats (DEF, ARM, etc.) are totaled up and you will need at least the character sheet to figure out how they were calculated, although possession of the book will help with stat like those modified by Armor, Benefits or Abilities.

When a piece of equipment or ability includes special rules aside those presented here the book and page is taken from is referenced for ease of convenience.

IKRPG starting character: Intellectual Human Alchemist Investigator


Greetings! As you may well know last year Privateer Press released their new edition of the Iron Kingdoms Roleplaying Game. You can trust me when I say that the game is quite cool. Yet if you rather read a more in-depth review you can do it here, here or here.

What we are going to do in our next few posts is present ready made beginning characters for your use. These characters will be background free.  We do the mechanical part for you, just give it a story, have your Game Master approve it and use it.

Eventually we plan to include Veteran and Epic characters and small encounters with NPC using the guidelines presented in the book to use in your campaign.

First Wave of Retribution spoilers

Looks like the fist of Wrath Spoilers are hitting the Internet.  Thanks to nemoaddler in the Focus and Fury forums for this first glimpse of Wrath:
Lord Arcanist Ossyan
  • Same FOC Stat as Kaelyssa
  • Feat: while in his cntrl area enemies roll 1 less dice for range attacks, and friendlies in cntrl roll 1 more
  • CMD 8
  • 1 weapon has Dispel the other has Temporal Distortion (hit model place 4" AoE, stays for a round. Moves with that model. AoE causes -2 def. Model starting activation in AoE cannot run or charge.)
  • Spells: Admonition, Arcantrik Bolt, Chronomancer (Battle Group gets FutureSsight while in cmd), Quicken and Shatter Storm.
